About Digimon UP
Digimon UP is a monster-raising RPG. It came out worldwide on July 15, 2026, and got over 1 million pre-registrations before launch.
The game is all about living a Digimon adventure that moves with your daily life. It uses a fresh pixel art style and brings back classic Digimon characters and scenes. You start by picking a Partner Digimon, then raise it by feeding and training it, guiding it through different Digivolution stages — all the way up to Mega.
What's the Main Currency in Digimon UP?
DigiDiamonds are the main paid currency in Digimon UP. You use them to pull Support Digimon from special banners, and they're your best bet for getting strong characters and speeding up your progress. The game also has DigiEmeralds, which you can use for Buddy Summon and SP Support Summon — you get one free pull each day per type. But DigiDiamonds let you pull as many times as you want, so it's a good idea to save them up and not waste them.
Besides that, the game also has cash-only packs — you buy them directly with real money, no diamonds needed. These include daily and weekly packs, Passes (with extra rewards and daily bonuses), permanent upgrade and utility packs.
Why Do We Need DigiDiamonds in Digimon UP?
Digimon UP is free to play, but the game has a lot of systems built around summons and progression that can slow you down if you're not spending. DigiDiamonds help you get past those walls and actually enjoy the game.
1. Pull from Special Banners Without Limits
DigiEmeralds give you one free 10-pull each day for Buddy Summon and SP Support Summon. But if you want to keep pulling for strong Support Digimon like WarGreymon, you need DigiDiamonds — they let you summon as many times as you want with no daily cap.
2. Hit the Pity System Faster
The Buddy and SP Support banners have a 200-pull pity system — if you don't get the featured character in 199 pulls, the 200th pull is guaranteed to give one. But if you do pull one early, the pity counter resets to zero. Having enough DigiDiamonds helps you reach that guarantee without running out of resources.
3. Speed Up Your Progression
As a free player, you'll hit walls where enemies get stronger and you just have to wait for idle rewards to pile up. DigiDiamonds let you skip some of that waiting and keep moving through stages, especially when you're trying to raise your Partner Digimon all the way to Mega.
